Rough It In Comfort

Your trip starts in Fairbanks. We take care of all flight arrangements, and bring you back to Fairbanks. If you prefer to start somewhere else in Alaska we can pick you up from there too. Your flights, meals, guides, fishing licenses, boats, gear, food- all included. The only things that are not included are specialty clothing items, (we will send you a list) and alcoholic beverages (but you are welcome to bring your own, no corkage fees). You let us know about your likes, dislikes and dietary restrictions, and we take care of the rest.

The Main Lodge sits back a few hundred feet from Iniakuk Lake and contains the dining hall, kitchen and 3 bedrooms on the second floor. Nearby is a bath house with modern showers and endless hot water. An additional 2-bedroom guest suite with attached bath sits at the waters edge of Iniakuk Lake, just a few hundred feet from the main lodge. The upstairs lounge and fireplace provide a panoramic view of Iniakuk Lake and the Brooks Range, the perfect spot to contemplate the day’s activities.

The total of 5 bedrooms at Iniakuk Lodge means we can comfortable host up to 10 people at a time, but we only book one group at a time. Whether you are two people on a honeymoon or a family reunion, you get the entire lodge to yourself.

For those seeking more adventure in the Brooks Range we offer cabins at our private inholdings in Gates of the Arctic National Park. Both properties require more flying since there are no roads or trails in the Brooks Range. The Arrigetch Peaks Wilderness Cabin is 20 minutes away by float plane and the Caribou Cabin is 50 minutes away by float plane from the main lodge.

Cabins at Lake Iniakuk

The Main Lodge sits back a few hundred feet from Iniakuk Lake, with an additional guest suite at the water’s edge. Enjoy running water, 24 hour electricity, satellite internet, delicious home cooked meals, all 60 miles (100km) north of the Arctic Circle.

Arrigetch Cabin

The Arrigetch Peaks Wilderness Cabin is 20 minutes away by float plane from Iniakuk Lake Wilderness Lodge. The cabin is tucked in a thick stand of spruce along the edge of the wild and scenic Alatna River in Gates of the Arctic National Park and the heart of the Brooks Range.

Caribou Cabin

The Caribou Cabin is 50 minutes away by float plane from Iniakuk Lake Wilderness Lodge, on the open tundra of Gates of the Arctic National Park. Miles above tree line, the cabin is built from imported cedar logs and offers a chance to see caribou from the front porch in August.

 EXPLORE our adventure portfolios…

Situated at the north end of a lake five miles long and a mile wide, Iniakuk Lake Wilderness Lodge is overlooked by 4,000 foot (1200 meter) peaks which mark the onset of the southern Brooks Range and provide a stunning backdrop to our secluded location. The beautiful sand and gravel beaches along Iniakuk Lake are perfect for an early morning stroll or shore lunch later in the day. We have a small fleet of canoes for exploring the local coves and inlets, or pick out a scenic ridge and spend the day hiking.
